If you’re here, reading this, chances are you’re uncertain on where life is heading. Maybe you have lost someone you love, or perhaps you’re experiencing issues in parenting. It could be you and your partner are considering divorce, or you are struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Life can be incredibly tough and messy, but I must say it’s wildly powerful when you can find a new path forward (or sometimes around) the hurdle trying to block your path.
Here's the good part, perhaps the best part...there's beauty and huge potential in falling, stumbling, not knowing and feeling lost. Because that's when the best changes can be made. How? You are the expert in your journey. No one will ever know your life as you do. My goal is to honor that in working with you to create a new narrative that is full of joy, hope & possibilities.
As a marriage and family therapist (proud alum of Northcentral University, a COMAFTE accredited program for my field of study), my approach is solution-focused, and I utilize this vantage with individuals, couples and families. We begin with something incredibly important too, that being you are not the problem. Rather, the problem is the problem. I start there from session one so that we can begin to learn more about the issue, most importantly what strengths, tools, etc. can aid you in creating a new, healthier journey.
As we move forward, we'll work collaboratively, mixing in homework activities, humor and dialogue to harness the expertise you bring to your journey. With an undergraduate degree in recreation and park administration (former park ranger here and lover of nature), and a wealth of experience through studies on the health benefits of nature coupled with a passion for complimentary tools such as mindfulness and the Enneagram, I enjoy weaving in engaging, hands on activities that give you the space to test out resources in day-to-day life that further assist you. The ability to spark joy, humor, authenticity, empathy and warmth are all traits I bring to the room with each session too.
Above all, my hope is to work myself out of a job. Yep, it’s true. Why? Because you have what it takes as the expert in your journey, and by identifying not only a new narrative but tools to support it, you will gain confidence and insight into what is needed to make the positive change you seek.

"I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
